Sweet & Doe-Eyed Beauty

As I mentioned on Facebook earlier, I graduated and was certified at makeup school yesterday. Hooray!!! Such a happy and eventful day but before I share some of our “graduation” photos, let me share a bridal makeup look for day / morning wedding.

Fresh, sweet, classic with a dash of that fabled “bridal glow” for that timeless beauty.

My model already has a good skin. All I had to do was to add some splash of neutral and pinkish colors to compliment her beauty.

Although I’ve noticed that all my “before & after photo series” I’ve shared here on the blog does not show the colors I’m seeing in person! I took photos without flash in the hopes that it doesn’t wash out the colors but somehow it still did. But anyway, I’m sure you can still see how pretty the ladies are. *smiles*

Peacock Beauty

My good and beautiful friend supported me all the way by becoming my face model for the colored makeup look meant for color photography.

I originally chose to use pink eyeshadow or at least in that color family but I was left with no choice when the only palette left to use only holds bluish-greenish eyeshadow color family. BUT it turned out to be a great coincidence because she is also wearing pretty peacock earrings. The eye color I used was not really planned to match her earrings but it surprisingly did!

This look is supposedly good only for photography but since the total makeup look is not prominent or makapal, my model still looked pretty in person.

Black and White

I never new that the makeup to be used for black and white photography literally uses black or dark eyeshadow and lipstick.

“Duo-tone photos elevate headshots to elegant levels and if you like a photo with vintage appeal, matte black and white is the only way to go. The trick to looking great is wearing high contrast makeup.”, quoted from Taaz.

Day 7 – Matte Black and White Makeup Look

Model: Karen Jamoso

But before you react — this is not an early Halloween peg! *laughs*

Bright Smokey

The smokey eye look is more of an eye makeup effect. Smokey eyes can range from dramatic black to bright smokey eyes down to neutral smokey eyes; it all depends on the person wearing it. There is no exact definition of a smokey eye look. Some people do smokey eyes using one, two or even three eyeshadow colors blended into one. The fourth color is just a highlight color for the brows or to brighten up the eyes a little. The only common thing about smokey eyes is the way the eyeliner is smudged that is the base and a must for all smokey eyes look.

For my model, I did bright smokey eyes using purple eyeshadow.
