You & Me: Time In A Bottle

Time in a BottleA photo taken after dinner at Lugang Café in Mega Fashion Hall.

Hello, July!

Here we are, working our way to try and squeeze quality time every chance we get esp with our crazy busy lives. A simple dinner where we talked and caught up on how our day was is just what I needed to greet this new month a sweet “Hello!”.

I know time and time again when it’s the first day of the month, I always get amazed at “how time flies really fast” and for those who are like me wondering where did time go, I leave you this very befitting quote about time.

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”

— Eric Roth, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button screenplay

How did you start your second half of the year? I hope with a smile painted on your face!

Taking photographs and writing are just some of the leisure pursuit I discovered from myself ever since I met Brian (who, as you may have noticed, I love to call as B) about seven years ago. He inspires me in more ways than one to have a creative outlet and express myself, and to not let the day to day routine drag me to live a dull and monotonous life. And since I met him, I enjoyed (and preferred) to document every little beautiful thing that we experience and create together.

One of our many passions is creating self-portraits of us together.

Birthday at Oakroom

I remember the first time I met B, he was just twenty-five, and this year — he’s celebrating his thirty-second birthday! Amazing seven years have passed and I am one happy woman to be celebrating his birthday again with me. I’d say I am not a good gift-giver and so I tend to lean towards throwing him a food feast as my little surprise gift. Don’t judge!

Last year, I prepared him some breakfast in bed and a dinner date. This year, well, he got a not-so-surprise birthday dinner at Oakroom.

Speaking of birthdays, I will never ever forget this beautiful birthday song that darling B played to me on one of my birthdays and it’s now part of our birthday’s little tradition…

Hello, everyone! As you have noticed, I have been out for a month now. I resisted the urge to blog anything while we are updating the blog’s design. Did you like it? This is still a work in progress, and there are still a couple of changes we are going to implement. So far I am loving the clean layout and the huge photos! Finally, the redesigning of this blog that I have mentioned far too many times in the past is now happening, and I couldn’t be more grateful and excited.

This updating of design is a symbolic act that calls for change.

In the five years I have been blogging, I have to admit that I haven’t stepped up as much as I’d hoped for. This year I am aspiring to work on the best version of myself. My journey towards that goal is what I want to share and what I want to reflect on my blog.

It was a tough battle for me to decide on what’s going to be my focus and this too is a work in progress. I, however, was able to resolve it with myself that I would still write about my usual favorite topics, only better and streamlined.

This blog aspire to inspire myself to step up and create the life I love to live, and in the process I hope to inspire you too.

THANK YOU International Red for developing this new theme and realizing my dream visuals to reality!
