Japan Selections Thrifting

IMG_9408dpp_1920Thrifting has been one of our most favorite couple bonding for years now. We get giddy excited when there are Japan or American surplus stores in sight. MSM has been a very good place for very good finds like this batch of jackspot (spotted jackpot as coined by my B) finds.

Recently, we found a new thrifting haven in Taft, Japan Selections. Sharing to you our random but oh so nice jackspot finds, all these for under Php600! Do you have a go-to thrifting place? I’d love it if you can share them.

When Uan Met Sally

…which I originally thought as When Van Met Sally is a quaint, eclectic shop / cafe along Maginhawa St. in QC. I’ve passed by this shop a lot of times whenever we scout for new eats along Maginhawa or whenever I do make-up work at a friend’s studio.

When Uan Met SallyThe shop has this charm that will draw your attention even from the outside. One time before doing my make-up work, I stopped by this shop / cafe and explored what they have to offer. Every piece of item is such an eye candy. If you love artsy fartsy stuff, if you are looking for inspiration to boost your creative juices or simply looking for unique gift ideas, When Uan Met Sally is a must-visit place!

When Uan Met SallyThis shop has clothes imported from Thailand matched with interesting and sometimes intricate handmade accessories. Another impressive sight from this shop are the hand-painted bag designs. Once you stepped in, it’s as if you are transported into a charming little old world full of aesthetically inspired designs. The shop itself boasts design inspired from birds and birds’ branches in a vintage-ly beautiful way hand-painted into their walls, doors, display cabinets and even on their menu.

When Uan Met Sally

Personally, this peacock-inspired handbag and crochet lace handbag caught my eye and my heart!

Arts and crafts have always been special and dear to me. To hear just the mere word of it excites me, all the more when I’m actually surrounded with brilliant craftsmanship and artistry. And just recently we’ve discovered a venue for hand-makers, crafters and creative souls alike – celebrating their love for everything handmade and artsy fartsy.

Let me share it with you through this photo essay. *smiles*

UPDATE: My B took photos of this fair too. Please visit his blog here.

Saturday church and thrifting

Entry Comments Actions

Saturday morning was dedicated to visit the church and say our prayers. It has been years since I went to church with Brian and I am just so happy to be going with him. I truly believe that we need Him at the center of our lives. And I find peace going to church and just lifting it all up to Him.

Tons of photos from our weekend.
