…which I originally thought as When Van Met Sally is a quaint, eclectic shop / cafe along Maginhawa St. in QC. I’ve passed by this shop a lot of times whenever we scout for new eats along Maginhawa or whenever I do make-up work at a friend’s studio.
The shop has this charm that will draw your attention even from the outside. One time before doing my make-up work, I stopped by this shop / cafe and explored what they have to offer. Every piece of item is such an eye candy. If you love artsy fartsy stuff, if you are looking for inspiration to boost your creative juices or simply looking for unique gift ideas, When Uan Met Sally is a must-visit place!
This shop has clothes imported from Thailand matched with interesting and sometimes intricate handmade accessories. Another impressive sight from this shop are the hand-painted bag designs. Once you stepped in, it’s as if you are transported into a charming little old world full of aesthetically inspired designs. The shop itself boasts design inspired from birds and birds’ branches in a vintage-ly beautiful way hand-painted into their walls, doors, display cabinets and even on their menu.
Personally, this peacock-inspired handbag and crochet lace handbag caught my eye and my heart!
If you want a quiet, relaxing place to be by your lonesome and do some thinking or writing, this can be the place for you. Part of their menu offerings are artisan’s coffee, tarragon tea, authentic Thai ice cream, sticky rice and mango, wine and cheese, panini and orange spice cookies.
If you want to check it out, the address is: 154-A Maginhawa Street, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City
