This has got to be the most breathtaking weekend-event that we’ve been to. Thanks to stylebible.ph for the free ticket to the Filipino international fashion designer, Furne One’s debut in Manila.
Furne One 10.10.10 is an encore show held at the Quezon Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La yesterday, October 10 2010 at 10.30am. (and thanks to my B for joining me in watching this fabulous show!)
And now, sit back and enjoy Furne One’s War and Roses collection.
Lots of seriously fabulous photos. Intricate details. Heavenly creations. Consider yourself warned.
Are you ready for THE Finale??
Ivory, pearl, nude-colored tulle, French lace, silk, and taffeta richly encrusted with Swarovski crystals, hand-painted with august portraits and medieval portraits of Queen Elizabeth printed on the fabric and crystallized, or intricately embroidered with skeins of glimmering, silken thread. Lasercut woodwork shoulder guards, cuffs, and headdresses accompanied some of the armor-like looks to impart a glorious reference to Elizabeth’s political and militant finesse as a deft sovereign ruler. Meticulously carved pale wood wedges compliments cream colored dresses.
Furne One’s War and Roses collection was inspired by Queen Elizabeth I, the fashion-attuned matriarch of the majestic Golden Age.
It was a magnificent and dazzling event filled with a lot of beauty, sparkle, and elegance. War and Roses will be shown at the Dubai Fashion Week in a few weeks’ time. It is truly a blessing that Furne One chose to display his latest collection to his fellow Filipinos first.
*Thanks my B for lending me a camera, for the photos and watching it with me.*
