Furne One’s War and Roses Fashion Show

Post Content

Furne One, the first Filipino designer to be invited to the London Fashion Week, will be staging a grand homecoming show — “Furne One 10.10.10”on October 10, 10:30am at Makati Shangri-La.

Presented by Inquirer Lifestyle columnist Tessa Prieto-Valdes and philanthropist Kaye Tinga, the show is for the benefit of Philippine National Red Cross-Rizal Chapter and the Assumption High School Batch 1981 Foundation.

The show is One’s debut in Manila after relocating in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, more than 10 years ago.

The shows feature One’s latest collection, “War and Roses,” inspired by the Elizabethan Age.

Furne One

He is based in Dubai. And his haute couture label, Amato, caters exclusively to an elite Arab clientele. But the Filipino designer Furne One has become quite a celebrity in Germany and has featured in top German newspapers and fashion magazines.

A German TV channel is in Dubai filming the designer in his studio, while he prepares for his debut at the Berlin Fashion Week early next year.

And it is all thanks to the supermodel Heidi Klum. The fashion diva put the designer — and Dubai’s haute couture — on the international map when she selected him to design the gowns for all 18 models in the final round of her popular TV show‚ Germany’s Next Top Model

With his every creation, he not only displays his prowess as a fashion designer, but his bravery as a stylist, and formidable creative force as well. His shows are almost always visually dramatic. His signature glam-goth style is a design concept that fuses together high fashion, vintage frill, and gothic imagery.

His designs – dreamy, romantic, ethereal, surreal. No wonder why I am in love the moment I laid eyes on his creations (even just on pictures).

I am more than thrilled to be a part of Stylebible‘s lucky readers to watch One’s fashion show. It’s going to be a fun-filled day full of fireworks and magic before my eyes. I’m sure to ogle away through his gossamer masterpieces.

i’m sure by now you can tell that we are loving our dining experience at TOSH from here and here. and we continue to delight ourselves in their menu, one by one.  this really seem to be our latest playhouse (our little hang out place) at the moment.

His: American Baked Spareribs with Java Rice Php185

my B is consuming this dish as much as he can. i, myself, is a self-confessed meat junkie that’s why this has been a personal favorite. but since there are a lot of interesting dishes on their menu, i plan not to order the same dish until i gorge each and every dish they have one at a time. *teehee*

Hers: Spaghetti Pesto with Grilled Chicken Php

unlike the rest i’ve tasted, i don’t favor this one as much. the chicken is just ok. but the taste and aroma of the basil in the pesto sauce is just too much! i may not be ordering this ever again. just saying. but, my fondness with this place is unwavering (so far).

shortly after dinner, we spent time arranging our printed photos for our very first photo album. ?

{ lucky we found this from a bookstore. cute little teddy on the cover of our first photo album. so adorable! }
