At times when I am out of town aka out of my comfort zone, I enjoy the fun feeling of discovering a cool place — may it be a nice coffee shop, desserts place or a stretch-tummy-worthy restaurant. There are only a few places I’ve discovered yet in Cavite (B’s hometown), and the recent one is Malen’s. It’s ambiance was the reason it caught my attention. This place stood out amongst the other establishments because of it’s twinkling lights against the night sky. The place looks romantic.

Spring Fling kimono; Apartment 8′s Signature Multiway Dress; SM Store shoulder bag

This uberly smooth and flow-y dress made me feel like a songbird frolicking in the wind!

Originally, we were supposed to take couple’s portrait with the theme “fairy and mortal”.  You guessed it right! I would be the fairy and B will be the mortal human being. The theme actually started with the idea of a human being falling for her dream girl. But to cut the story short, B decided to not post our pictures together for public consumption (because he was shirtless!) and left me with my solo photos. Daya!

When Holy Week was fast approaching, I kind of felt pressured and panicked that we didn’t have anything planned for that long weekend. I remembered exactly how I used to spend my Holy Week with my family — watching 7th Heaven marathon in bed or squishing ourselves to fit in the couch, or crying over the religious movies that are really meant to make you reflect on the life you are living. Not to mention following the popular Pinoy traditions that my mom follows — hanging Palm Sunday palaspas on the door, fasting and abstinence from meat and lavish meals, not showering on Good Friday, visiting a number of churches or Visita Iglesia, doing Stations of the cross, watching Senakulo and witnessing the Salubong ritual.
