Brasas, Latin American Street Food

Post Content

When I hear “Latin American”, I just can imagine the most beautiful and alluring people — think Brazilian models! And when I saw Brasas, Latin American Street Food, I am immediately drawn because I’m curious as to what could be the secret to their oozing appeal!

Brasas Menu

Although their menu doesn’t seem like what sexy people eat on a regular basis to maintain their figures, I’d say the different spices used in their dishes is the factor that gives Latin American cuisine that distinct ooomph and flavor.

IMG_6089{ Hers: Pequeño Beef Grilled Wrap. Charcoal grilled meat, flour tortilla, tomato salsa, roasted sweet bell peppers, sauteed onions served with chipotle sauce. Php190 + Php30 for extra Monterey Jack cheese }

Both dishes are a feast in the palate. The charcoal grilled meat are tasty and tender to the bite. Although my grilled beef wrap is somewhat oily, which I assume came from the rich beef meat. You would probably crave for something sweet to balance off the taste but other than that, I’m sure you meat lovers will enjoy this, just like I did!

Hair Introspect

Post Content

Being hair conscious has never been my style. Although I’ve tried hair rebonding twice a couple of years ago, I’ve always sported long, black, naturally curly hair since time immemorial.

Putting my hair on a bun on a regular day is such a habit I’ve never tried to sway away from.

There are very few times though that I would have the powers to let my hair down.

Wear my hair down

But after months of being bored with my hair, I’ve decided to hit a friend’s salon to have a hair makeover!

I was interested to have digital perm but since I’m naturally curly, senior stylist – Rian,  advised me to have a hair cut.

Hair cut, hair color and a hair spa plus eyebrow threading and deluxe manicure on the side are the services I’ve ended up having. *laughs* Instant “me” time salon date!

The salon uses Davines hair color and I chose light natural warm brown, although it might not be too obvious in the photo below.

Voilà! My hair after my makeover! *smiles*

Sprinkles & Crumbs

Post Content

One time after a leisure stroll in the mall, I craved for dessert. Cupcake tops my list of go-to dessert options but I felt sad when I remembered that Frostings Cupcakes is no longer available in Edsa Shangri-La Mall. My eyes widen when I saw Sprinkles & Crumbs’ too-cute-for-words little corner just right across National Bookstore located in the ground floor of the mall!

They have decadent-looking chocolates too! And another thing my eyes loved about this cupcake haven is the cute heart boxes and little house boxes they use to house your cupcakes or chocolates. It’s just an eye candy!

Their cupcake price ranges from Php40 to Php70 depending on the flavor.

My take-home cupcake is red velvet, of course!

Have a sweet day! xo
