You & Me: Time In A Bottle

Time in a BottleA photo taken after dinner at Lugang Café in Mega Fashion Hall.

Hello, July!

Here we are, working our way to try and squeeze quality time every chance we get esp with our crazy busy lives. A simple dinner where we talked and caught up on how our day was is just what I needed to greet this new month a sweet “Hello!”.

I know time and time again when it’s the first day of the month, I always get amazed at “how time flies really fast” and for those who are like me wondering where did time go, I leave you this very befitting quote about time.

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”

— Eric Roth, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button screenplay

How did you start your second half of the year? I hope with a smile painted on your face!

Ever since college I’m drawn to the idea of pampering myself through retail therapy, having a manicure and pedicure or the best of them all — a full body massage. Although I haven’t read much about the health benefits it give, I know for a fact that after a rough day at work (or school), it helps relax the muscle tension esp on my shoulders and my whole mind, body and soul.

There can never be “too much spa” or “too much massage” in my world. I, personally, like most of us I think, live a very hectic lifestyle to say the least. An offer to have a spa massage is a welcome change in my very busy, fast-paced and highly stressful life. That’s where Soneva Spa comes in!

Panghimagas is a Tagalog word for dessert. A term that is perfectly suited to call the sweet treats after a full delicious meal. To cap off our dining experience at St. Nicholas, we tried Civet coffee over these delightful sweets.
