Hunger:  One of the few cravings that cannot be appeased with another solution.  ~Irwin Van Grove

His: Chicken Cordon Bleu. Deep fried roulade of flattened chicken meat with butter and cheese, encrusted in seasoned sourdough bread crumbs in creamy herb sauce and sided with pan-roasted seasonal vegetables and rice.

Hers: Chicken Ala King. French classical voul-au-vent flaky shell stuffed with chunks of chicken in creamy “a la king” sauce and sided with buttered corn and carrots.

Our French Baker dinner, one Wednesday night. One should not let himself starved before meeting his beloved. It’s one recipe for disaster. Lesson learned. *grin*
