Gotti’s, Italy’s Most Wanted

Post Content

I haven’t been posting much about food in what seems like months but that doesn’t mean I broke my ties with it. Remember about The Biggest Loser? Well yeah, I have been pretty much trying to keep fit and stay away from too much eating (unhealthy and unnecessary food, that is) but Italy’s most wanted didn’t escape my attention.

I love Italian cuisine. I love pasta. That is it. And will always be it. And so when B asked if I wanted to try and eat there (it will be his second time to eat here) I automatically said “Yes”!

Apparently, the restaurant name Gotti (John Gotti) is actually a comical take on the infamous Mafia of Italy. And I quote, “Gotti is a godfather, a good fella or a bad fella (depending on which side of the fence you ask), but admittedly a great food lover. We have created a character than anyone can identify with. When people think Italian, we would like them to think of the cinematic godfathers – Al Pacino, Robert Deniro … and be transported to a place where their senses, apart from just the palate, are equally entertained.” says Restaurant Owner Eileen Gonzalez.

Pretty much reminded me of the movie we watched – Goodfellas, which by the way, caught my attention no matter how I dislike violent films. *pat myself on the back*

Now onto the order.

{ His: Tuscan Steak. Beef tenderloin cooked in olive oil, garlic and rosemary served on a bed of herbed rice. Php280 }

{ Hers: Chicken Parmigiana. Parmesan breaded chicken breast fillet baked in our special pomodoro sauce with melted mozzarella cheese. Php230 }

The place is cozy and conducive to talking and laughing and sharing with friends or loved ones. We both loved and enjoyed our meal.

They served it few minutes after placing our orders and they served it hot just like the way it’s supposed to be. And we have ample time to chit-chat and take our photo while waiting. Is it just me or did I really lose weight? *grin* Although, I know being super thin doesn’t suit me so I might have to maintain my weight for now.

And, nothing beats a sweet dessert to cap off the meal and the evening…

{ Dessert. Mango con Cioccolato Crespelle. Php125 }

I’ll Always Be Right There
by Bryan Adams

I swear to you, I will always be there for you there’s nothin’ I won’t do
I promise you, all my life I will live for you
We will make it through, forever we will be – together you and me

Oh and when I hold you nothin’ can compare
With all of my heart you know I’ll always be right there

I believe in US, nothin’ else could ever mean so much
You’re the one I trust. Our time has come
We’re not two people now, we are one
Yeah you’re second to none

Forever, we will be together a family
The more I get to know you nothin’ can compare
With all of my heart you know I’ll always be right there

Forever we will be together just you and me
The more I get to know you the more I really care
With all of my heart you know I’ll always be…
You know I really love you and nothin’ can compare
For all of my life you know I’ll always be…
right there

Stackers Burger Cafe

Here’s where we had our fill of burger cravings right after the BDJ Fair at Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill.

I, personally, love burgers and whenever I see a burger joint, I’m instantly lured to try and eat ’em! Hence the term Burger Monster was coined by my B. Great! Haha.

Stackers is a new casual style dining concept that combines together burgers and coffee (but we haven’t tried it because we’re not coffee drinkers).

Stackers burgers are all about 3 things: a tasty BUN, juicy 100% Australian Beef and a complimenting signature SAUCE of your choice.

{ His: I honestly forgot the name of his order but I believe it to be a chicken burger with tons of fries for only Php99. }

{ Hers: Stack Burger. Lettuce, mayo, beef patty, tomato slice and I removed the onion bits with generous serving of Pepper Steak sauce plus fries & Coke. Php155 }
