I haven’t been posting much about food in what seems like months but that doesn’t mean I broke my ties with it. Remember about The Biggest Loser? Well yeah, I have been pretty much trying to keep fit and stay away from too much eating (unhealthy and unnecessary food, that is) but Italy’s most wanted didn’t escape my attention.
I love Italian cuisine. I love pasta. That is it. And will always be it. And so when B asked if I wanted to try and eat there (it will be his second time to eat here) I automatically said “Yes”!
Apparently, the restaurant name Gotti (John Gotti) is actually a comical take on the infamous Mafia of Italy. And I quote, “Gotti is a godfather, a good fella or a bad fella (depending on which side of the fence you ask), but admittedly a great food lover. We have created a character than anyone can identify with. When people think Italian, we would like them to think of the cinematic godfathers – Al Pacino, Robert Deniro … and be transported to a place where their senses, apart from just the palate, are equally entertained.” says Restaurant Owner Eileen Gonzalez.
Pretty much reminded me of the movie we watched – Goodfellas, which by the way, caught my attention no matter how I dislike violent films. *pat myself on the back*
The place is cozy and conducive to talking and laughing and sharing with friends or loved ones. We both loved and enjoyed our meal.
They served it few minutes after placing our orders and they served it hot just like the way it’s supposed to be. And we have ample time to chit-chat and take our photo while waiting. Is it just me or did I really lose weight? *grin* Although, I know being super thin doesn’t suit me so I might have to maintain my weight for now.
And, nothing beats a sweet dessert to cap off the meal and the evening…
