Moringa O2 2-in-1 Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner
Hair care starts with good scalp care.
Having dandruff has never been my issue, as in never. Not until late last year when I experienced having itchy scalp and flaky dandruff. Personally, I super hate the itchiness part of having a dandruff more than the embarrassing flakes coming out of my head.
I initially thought that dandruff was only caused by poor hygiene, not washing the hair enough, scrubbing the scalp with your nails instead of the fingertips (which I did twice in my lifetime and it hurt my scalp so much!) and shampooing too often stripping off the scalp of its natural protection. But I’ve learned that it can also be caused by skin diseases (eczema, psoriasis amongst others), sensitivity to harsh hair care products and stress.
Stress has been common for a first-time, stay-at-home, breastfeeding momma to a 25-month-old toddler. That’s when I noticed I’m having itchy scalp and eventually flaky scalp.
While there are other solutions to dandruff like DIY hair care remedies as well as synthetic anti-dandruff shampoos, I’m glad to know that there is an easy-to-use, herbal-infused solution to my dandruff — Moringa O2 2-in-1 Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner. I got my samples from SampleRoomPH, and you can try it out for yourself too, FOR FREE!
Since do-it-yourself hair care remedies is out of the options for a busy momma like me, and synthetic shampoos are too mentholated for my liking, this Moringa anti-dandruff shampoo is a refreshing option.
Review: Moringa O2 2-in-1 Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner
NOTE: This review is based on my personal trial of the product for 3 days. Also note that my hair is chemically treated (Brazilian Blowout) and colored.
Cleansing Properties ❤❤❤❤

Overall Experience ❤❤❤
Key ingredients: Malunggay, Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil, Argan Oil and Rosebay extract, amongst others
Packaging: The bottle is slim enough that makes it easy to hold in shower. The bottle packaging offers a glimpse of the shampoo’s color inside. And of course, flip top opening is a must for me, so it’s easy to use.
Scent: It’s mildly scented, nothing out of the ordinary.
Cleansing Properties: It cleaned my scalp and hair. It stopped the itchiness of my scalp almost immediately after first use. And it has a faint cooling effect which I prefer better than overly mentholated shampoo.
Moisturizing Properties: Although this is supposed to be a shampoo and conditioner in one, for my frizzy hair, I find it less moisturizing for the conditioner part. For the first 3 days of trial, I used only this product, and I noticed that it slightly dried out my hair.
Overall: It did well on treating my itchy scalp which means no more dandruff! The Rosebay extract decreases sebum production on the scalp while reducing the appearance of adherent and non-adherent flakes. It also provides a soothing anti-inflammatory action, making Moringa-O2 2-in-1 Herbal Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner a lighter and milder alternative compared to leading anti-dandruff brands in the market.
Although, I find that It’s not easy to distribute product to the hair especially when the hair is not thoroughly wet or soaked with water. Unlike my usual shampoo that easily lathers, this one doesn’t and so I find that it needs getting used to. I also learned that instead of using more product in the hopes that it will lather up, just use more water instead. The water will help activate the shampoo and helps spread it through your hair.
Once I’ve managed to massage my scalp and hair strands with this shampoo, it was easy to thoroughly rinse it off with water (or else it will feel heavy on your hair). After 3 days, since it already addressed the itchiness of my scalp, I stopped using it, and went back to my usual shampoo and conditioner.
Moringa O2 2-in-1 Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner is a good option if you’re looking for an alternative, herbal-infused shampoo for anti-dandruff. And for it’s price tag of P199.75 for a 200 ml bottle, it’s not bad at all. But you may want to use your favorite conditioner to compliment this product to address the “hair conditioning” aspect.
