Soneva Spa

Post Content

Ever since college I’m drawn to the idea of pampering myself through retail therapy, having a manicure and pedicure or the best of them all — a full body massage. Although I haven’t read much about the health benefits it give, I know for a fact that after a rough day at work (or school), it helps relax the muscle tension esp on my shoulders and my whole mind, body and soul.

There can never be “too much spa” or “too much massage” in my world. I, personally, like most of us I think, live a very hectic lifestyle to say the least. An offer to have a spa massage is a welcome change in my very busy, fast-paced and highly stressful life. That’s where Soneva Spa comes in!

The minute I stepped into Soneva Spa, I’m already transported to a serene place where all I can think of is “Thank goodness, it’s that time of the week — it’s pamper me-time!”.

After the receptionist asked us what type of massage we would like to get, we were ushered to the couple’s room, with our robes and slippers waiting.

We then took a quick shower to cleanse our tired bodies and head back to our room while waiting for our therapists.

{ Who can say “no” to a selfie time?! }

My therapist was polite, gentle and accommodating. Soneva Spa has its own kneading technique where both forearms where used to roll over the target body part and all the muscle tension and its accompanying pain were broken down to little knots until they are all gone.

Overall, we had a relaxing time at Soneva Spa. The whole experience was smooth and pleasant and we would definitely want to try the other massage services they offered.

Sepcial thanks to Karl of Turista Trails for arranging this for us and most especially to Soneva Spa’s owners for accommodating us!
