Park date + Cafe Sweet Inspirations

Entry Comments Actions

Happy Easter, everyone! Hope your new beginning is a beautiful one.

UP Park

B and I spent our Holy Week inside our apt in the Metro and last Holy Monday I started with my fasting.

Come Saturday night, we just felt the urge to go out and do our “wedding talk-ing” in the park. We forgot how beautiful the parks are — the greeneries, the trees, the flowers and all the works! We were reminded how good it feels to just hang out, smell the fresh air and just be reunited with nature.

And… after a total of six days, I decided to break my fast last Black Saturday.

A new restaurant was our goal destination for Black Saturday dinner so we tried out Cafe Sweet Inspirations along Katipunan Ave.

Overall, this place is cozy, reminded me of TOSH with the dim lights and homey-feel type of resto. The food was just OK — simple, straight to the point and true to its taste but nothing too good to rave about though.

About my supposedly sweet treat — considering they call themselves a cafe and bakeshop, they used poor quality cream cheese for this dessert. I don’t recommend this BUT maybe their other cake slices and desserts are worth a try so I would still go back and try them out.

Thanks to my B for these ah-mazing photos, as usual.

10a Alabama Arts & Crafts Fair

Arts and crafts have always been special and dear to me. To hear just the mere word of it excites me, all the more when I’m actually surrounded with brilliant craftsmanship and artistry. And just recently we’ve discovered a venue for hand-makers, crafters and creative souls alike – celebrating their love for everything handmade and artsy fartsy.

Let me share it with you through this photo essay. *smiles*

UPDATE: My B took photos of this fair too. Please visit his blog here.

Lunch date at Mey Lin

Before attending the styling workshop last Saturday, I had a lunch date with my B.

with my lunch date B{ *apologies for the over-exposed photo* }

He asked where I want to eat and I just said I want something healthy, more on vegetables. He instantly remembered Mey Lin Pot & Noodle House in SM Megamall Atrium for their simple Chinese dishes but oh so delicious for our liking!

If you noticed all our orders are on their vegetable menu + white rice + their complimentary unlimited hot tea (which I love in Chinese restaurants!).

If you are hungry and in search of a delicious, fuss-free meal that are easy on your pocket, I strongly suggest you head on over to Mey Lin! I can’t remember how many times we dined here and so far they are all pleasant memories.

A little date in CubaoX

September 20, 2011

on one of our little dates, my B invited me to go to Cubao X. it has always been a fascinating place to go because of its vintage, old-world-feel to it. i can’t remember the last time we were here but every time we visit i am reminded of how charming it is to be in this place.

galleries, cafes, vintage stores, antique shops, bookshops, shoe shops, old salon, Italian restaurant and other quirky stores surround this little complex. when you’re inside it feels as if you’re in a different world, a different time, away from the hustle and bustle of the metro (although it’s situated inside Cubao, Q.C.).

photos of Cubao X to follow.. i need to raid B’s files first to get a copy *wink*

i’ve been curious with a resto called PenPen and so my sweet little darling thought it would be nice to finally try it and have our little dinner date here.
