Sometimes in this independent life we try to live not to mention being a foodie pregnant, I get food cravings here and there that not even my attempt to cook nor my cry for help will alleviate. Living in a small city that is far from the usual malls and restaurants I am used to, also does not help. That’s why I feel so relieved and happy that there is this one restaurant that popped up near our area. It’s called Ho Chai Lai. I believe it’s got branches in other areas and it’s just good of them to branch out here in Cavite.

At times when I am out of town aka out of my comfort zone, I enjoy the fun feeling of discovering a cool place — may it be a nice coffee shop, desserts place or a stretch-tummy-worthy restaurant. There are only a few places I’ve discovered yet in Cavite (B’s hometown), and the recent one is Malen’s. It’s ambiance was the reason it caught my attention. This place stood out amongst the other establishments because of it’s twinkling lights against the night sky. The place looks romantic.

Celebrating life’s occasion spells good food, endless conversations and lots of laughter.

This time, we celebrated my youngest brother-in-law’s birthday at this restaurant that serves Pinoy food which mostly of Kapampangan origin. Here we revisited some Pinoy favorite dishes: Crispy Pata and Kare-Kare to name a few.
