When Holy Week was fast approaching, I kind of felt pressured and panicked that we didn’t have anything planned for that long weekend. I remembered exactly how I used to spend my Holy Week with my family — watching 7th Heaven marathon in bed or squishing ourselves to fit in the couch, or crying over the religious movies that are really meant to make you reflect on the life you are living. Not to mention following the popular Pinoy traditions that my mom follows — hanging Palm Sunday palaspas on the door, fasting and abstinence from meat and lavish meals, not showering on Good Friday, visiting a number of churches or Visita Iglesia, doing Stations of the cross, watching Senakulo and witnessing the Salubong ritual.Show Content ofT House /Read More

Tagaytay is dear to our hearts in many ways than one. We’ve been here countless times during boyfriend-girlfriend stage, and we even got married here!

It’s like a luxe yet easy escape to go to when you need a quick breather away from the heat of the city.

Last Holy Week we’ve planned to get away even just for a day or two. We thought of other places but ended up deciding to drive here which is relatively close from Manila. Ideally on a fine day, I enjoy the sight of fresh flowers blooming, offering a vibrant sight to behold. Here’s sharing the beautiful blooms that greeted us in this cool climate escape. hello hello! i’ve been in a little hiatus for awhile due to a crazy busy work week. and tonight we are headed off to Visayas for some much needed R & R with good friends and happy people. *refreshing!* as i speak, we are finishing up packing stuff and i could really use some sleep. but, i can’t complain… in no time i’ll be resting my stress away and i just can’t wait!

shades – check, sunblock – check, swimsuit – check and Mitch Albom book – double check! just some of my beach must-haves…

Hotel Vida, The Home of Widus Vacation Club Part 1 of 2

Brian was invited to be the photographer for his friend’s mom’s 60th birthday in Pampanga for June 27th. Since it’s on the weekend, it’s more likely that I will be with him. We planned to go there a day earlier and have our post-monthly celebration. A hotel accommodation is a must since the main event falls on a Sunday. I barely knew any hotel in the area aside from the old villas for rent and old hotels.

Lucky enough while I was googling, I found a new hotel and vacation club right smack in the middle of Clark Freeport Zone.

Brian and I can probably join the next Amazing Race challenge since we’ve been practicing rushing and turbo-ing (our own lil term) each and every time we will go out. We love it like that. Kidding! We are just two slow-moving creatures and always rushing to make our way to whatever event on time (or at least we try to but mostly we are late). Just like today. We planned to hop on the bus for their 11am schedule but we needed to grab some stuff in the groceries first.

One of the bus lines that goes to Pampanga daily is Partas Bus Lines. After picking up some stuff, we went to their Aurora, Cubao terminal and got the 11:30am schedule. Phew! That was a lot of rushing this early morning. I told you we can totally join the Amazing Race!Show Content ofHotel Vida, The Home of Widus Vacation Club Part 1 of 2 /Read More
