What do you want your 2013 rituals to be?

Arugula & Mixed Greens Salad with Japanese and Italian Vinaigrette“What do you want your 2013 rituals to be?”

It’s the 2nd day of the new year and yet, I must (shamefully) admit that we are still behind our unfinished businesses and projects! Today, we worked on cleaning and organizing our apartment… and the creative room we (mostly just B) have been working on for few months. The wall and one table have been painted! There are still a couple of furnitures to be added but… Eeep I’m excited to see the final results of my soon-to-be home office slash creative bat cave! *grin*

Early in the afternoon, we took a break from all the domestic work and had our lunch outside. This year, aside from physically preparing for our wedding *swoon*, we also both wanted to have a better and healthier lifestyle. I contemplated to make the right choice in the food I’m going to gobble on! Tilapia and pancit bihon lunch FTW! Arugula and mixed greens with Japanese and Italian Vinaigrette for dinner. Hooray! Although I won’t keep it a secret that I’ve a few share of my sweet moments for my little snacks — mom’s buko pandan and lil brother’s pasalubong J.Co donuts! Soon the desserts-filled refrigerator will be empty so allow me to enjoy this moment while it lasts. Haha!

This new year, one of my mantras would have to be to “Fight, fight , fight life.” to make everyday of my life, our lives better and brighter. We may be behind a lot of things right now, but soon I know that all will fall into it’s rightful place.

I couldn’t be more excited of what’s in store for all of us this 2013. Just as long as we keep on doing what we do best in making things better, every single day.

Let’s start this new year right!

“You leave old habits behind by starting out with the thought, ‘I release the need for this in my life.”

– Wayne Dyer
